UH10058 Burmese wood and lacquer image of a seated Buddha, supported on a waisted angular base, in padmasana (the interlocking lotus position) with the right hand in the bhumisparsa mudra (the earth touching position) and the left hand open resting in the lap, elongated earlobes and domed usnisa, simple delineation of the costume, covered overall in thick layers of gold leaf over black lacquer, previous surface scar at the chest and chin, gilded over, otherwise fine condition. 18-1/2” High x 10-1/2” Wide x 6” Deep.
