UH20063 Primitive Philippine Santos image, a rustic wood carving of a standing cloaked image, a haunting form based on the cross with broad shoulders and center vertical garment band, the head extended slightly forward with brief features and large inset glass/crystal eyes, with long carved flowing hair extending down her back, possibly a rendition of the Inmaculada Concepcion which was a popular image from the island of Bohol. Arms missing, chips to front right shoulder, signs of wear and use, otherwise good condition. Mounted on a black lacquered wood stand. 10” High. 19th Century.
