UH10043 Chinese Wood Scholar’s Brush Pot, naturalistic form fashioned from a single piece of wood with exterior lacquered and left in a natural state with ridges and irregular contours, holes, and pockets, a thin wall with good patina, strongly evoking the natural aesthetic prized by the literati, plugged base, age cracks, wormage and other signs of wear, overall fine condition. 5-7/8” High. 18th Century.
