NH12136 Japanese Kakehana (wall hanging flower vase) used in the art of Ikebana by the artist CHIKUYUSAI, a steamed and folded envelope of timber bamboo, having fine knots, and decorative segment tied to the front with a rubbed red translucent lacquer finish to the skin of the bamboo. Interior bamboo cylinder with copper and brass cup liner. Etched signature of Chikuyusai on the backside. Signs of use and wear, otherwise fine condition. Measuring: 12-3/4” high x 5-1/2” wide x 4” deep. Circa 1910. $1,800.
