UH10057 Burmese dry lacquer seated Buddha image, on a waisted rounded applied lacquer decorated base in padmasana (the lotus position) with the right hand in the bhumisparsa mudra (the earth touching position), the left hand with webbed fingers resting in the lap, extended earlobes, heavy eyelids, domed usnisa and glass inset hairline, raised beaded edge costume draped over the left shoulder, the right arm bare, all lacquered black with traces of gold leaf. Signs of restoration to the neck and base, otherwise fine condition. 21” High x 11” Wide x 7” Deep. 19th Century. $1,600.
