UG81013 Japanese Abura-Zara (oil plate), Seto kilns, a simple circular ceramic dish with circular foot ring and raised edge used in a lantern to catch the oil drippings, decorated by a reverse stencil of a botan (Peony) blossom with powdered iron oxide and translucent crackled glaze overall except for the foot ring and the seven spur marks on the face.
