KG70009 Korean celadon ceramic box and cover of circular form with flat top lid having incised decoration of a peony blossom and leafy tendrils, rounded shoulder, combed groove sides, countersunk base glazed overall in a fine translucent crackled celadon glaze. Gold lacquer restoration on the lid, slight discoloration on the exterior of the lower component, otherwise fine condition. 1-1/4" High x 3" in Diameter. Koryo dynasty, 13th Century.
