UH80031 Sri Lankan Molded Clay Figure of Hanuman, the Hindu Monkey God, modeled in a posture of reverence on one knee with hands clasped in a praying position, clothed in a robe, necklaces and a crown, Interestingly he has an iron wire tail serving as a handle for the figure all on a supported on a circular pedestal, traces of original green and white pigments, the majority of the clay body exposed.
Measuring: 5 inches high, the base 2-1/2 inches in diameter.
Fine condition.
Mid 20th century.
