NG83141 Japanese Takeda Hina Ningyo, of a pair of seated ministers for the Girl’s day display, each costumed in matching brocades characteristics the house of Takeda, supported on lacquered and gold painted box bases, each with swords, arrows and bow, the heads carved of wood with several layers of burnished gofun, painted features and inset hair, one figure representing a young man with black hair and the other representing an old man with white hair. Gofun crack to young minister’s chin and old minister’s cheek, minor signs of wear and losses otherwise fine condition. Original wood storage boxes. Each Measuring: 19” High x 12” Wide x 10” Deep. Edo Period, Circa 1820. $2,500.
