NG84011 Japanese Kuge Tachiko Gosho Ningyo, a standing young prince figure holding a compass, wearing a striped dark blue kimono with brown mid section and light blue silk lining, tied together with a green and gold checker board patterned obi, the figure all carved of Kiri wood (Paulownia) with the exception of the wire and fabric upper arms is covered in burnished layers of gofun , the face with glass inset eyes, inset hair, velvet pate and painted features, mounted on a contemporary bronze stand. Gofun restorations, minor surface cracks at the forehead hairline and the body, newly made replacement costume, otherwise good condition. 14” High overall.
