UH80028 Tibetan Gilt Copper Repoussé Image of a Seated Lama. Part of a frieze fragment rendering in deep relief of a Lama clothed in simple robes, hands in the dhyanamudra of contemplation resting in his lap, head tilted slightly to his left, gentle facial expression, inscription etched in sanskrit (untranslated) in one of the lower base panels, traces of red pigment in the face, signs of wear, minor losses, overall fine condition. 8-1/4 in. high x 7-1/4 in. wide x 4-1/2 in. deep. 18th century.
