CT60013 Large Japanese Sosaku Kokeshi, Fukushima prefecture, by Watanabe Masao (born 1917), known for his Mushin (innocence) style, a corpulent body with narrow base, Tama shaped head with peaked top, painted with a full head of hair, line eyes and two small red dots for lips, the body decorated in gesso painted overall as a kimono with gold painted cherry blossoms and purple tie at the waist.
