NG92016 Japanese Ariake Andon, a day break lantern constructed of hinoki (Chaemaecyprus obtusa) lacquered black with front sliding access window and cover having a large rectangular window pane front aperture with curved edges and smaller side window pane cutouts on the sides. The cover also serves as a base with the underside fitting snugly on top of the cover complete with overhead wire handle and interior raised oil dish stand, newly papered with patterned rice paper.
