NH30015 Japanese Kyoto costume doll of a standing Bijin dressed in a bright green figured silk with dyed coin medallion design kimono and a under kimono of pink silk tied with a silk crepe shibori dyed obi, the expertly modeled wood head with glass inset eyes, covered in gofun with painted features and inset silk hair with elaborate hair ornaments, standing on a black lacquered wood base. Losses to shibori obi, other minor signs of wear, otherwise fine condition. 12-1/2” High. Circa 1930.
