NH11021 Japanese Tosa School album leaf painting depicting Chapter 28 Nowaki from the “The Tale of Genji” where Yugiri is composing a poem in Akikonomu’s quarters as girls carry insect cages in the garden, the scene depicted in traditional fukinuki-yatai (“roof blown away”) style, all painted in ink and mineral pigments on paper with gold leaf clouds.
