UH10020 Japanese 4-panel screen, mineral pigments painted on gold leaf of an abstract exterior landscape view with a rolled up tsudare shade at the the top framing the scene as a view from the interior of a dwelling looking out at the two birds perched on the blossoming prunus with red vine, diagonal bamboo fence, marsh ponds, gold clouds and another bird within a cylindrical cage, all framed within a brocade border and black lacquered wood frame. Minor restorations otherwise fine condition. Possibly four panels of a six panel screen. Measuring: 70-1/2” High x 99” Wide. Edo Period, 18th Century. $18,000.
