UH11018 Japanese album leaf painting from the Nomai no Zu (Illustrations of Noh Dances) of the Noh play Okina, the scene depicting an old emperor dancing with a fan in front of three seated young men, all painted in ink, mineral and gold pigments in detail on paper with speckled gold leaf mist. Paper discolored brown, punctures, tears, losses and signs of wear. 7-7/8” High x 10-1/2” Wide. 18th Century.
