UH11021 Japanese album leaf painting from the Nomai no Zu (Illustrations of Noh Dances) of a Noh play, the scene depicting a the main dancing figure on a decorated platform holding a fan and wearing a red wig with two hunters in pursuit, one with his bow and arrow drawn, all painted in ink, mineral and gold pigments in detail on paper with speckled gold leaf mist. Paper discolored brown, stains, several losses and signs of wear. 8” High x 10-1/2” Wide. 18th Century.
