NG91036 Japanese Shunga, a set of three woodblock printed books illustrated by Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1865), each book signed “Bukiyo Matabei ga” a pseudonym for Kunisada, titled “Sangoku Meoto Ishi” (3 Countries; Woman, Man & Desire) containing 11 color double page images depicting various sexual encounters some embossed with silver and gold, all contained within a brocade outer cover. Pages worn, images overall in fine condition. Books measure: Hanshibon 10” x 7”. Circa 1850. $2,800.
