Japanese Bizen water dropper in the molded form of a pine cone a symbol of longevity, brown earthenware covered in a translucent glaze slightly congealed on the upper surface and shiny at the sides, the flat base remains unglazed with incised three character signature, the control hole hidden under one of the protrusions and the release aperture at the tip.
Excellent condition.

Japanese album leaf painting from the Heike Monogatari a scene from the night before the battle of Fujigawa better known as “the battle that never was”, here Taira Koremori is being suited up in his armor by an attendant, the warrior standing and carrying his long sword, the suit of armor he is wearing has the nanten crest on the breast plate his under kimono with a design of butterflies (a Taira reference), the attendant is costumed in two robes, each with the a design of cranes, a reference to the the fact that the Taira took flight upon hearing the numbers of the Minamoto forces they were about to fight, all painted in ink, mineral and gold pigments in detail on paper with speckled gold leaf mist.

Japanese Nagasaki Lacquer and Coloured Mother-of-Pearl Inlaid Display Cabinet (Kazaridana) on a Stand, possibly intended for export with the charming design of folding fans as the railings and one open fan shape as a shelf, four shelf tiers total, two compartments with sliding doors, three exterior drawers and an additional three drawers concealed behind two hinged doors, beautifully embellished overall in floral roundels and flora & fauna motifs on the doors, all on a black/brown lacquer ground with traces of the original gold cloud pattern overall. Mounted on a later raised black lacquered stand.
Minor restorations overall, signs of wear and age otherwise in remarkably fine condition.
Meiji Period 1867- 1912.

Japanese Takeda Ningyo depicting a Kabuki actor in a fierce role with brocade costumes and exaggerated positions, complimentary chirimen sleeves embroidered with a carp leaping from the waves. He holds a tall halberd. The head  carved of wood covered in gofun with painted features in the mie expression and attached hair on the sides and top knot. He stands with his right foot propped on a tree stump and the left foot outstretched with big toe pointing up displayed  on his own black lacquered stage box base with inset embroidered panel characteristic of Takeda Ningyo.
One small crack to the gofun on the chin, other minor signs of wear otherwise excellent condition.
Measuring overall: 22 inches high x 8 in. deep x 11-1/4 in. wide.
The figure from head to toe measures 12 in. high.

Japanese Takeda Ningyo depicting an actor from a Kabuki play in a role of a warrior at the sea with his anchor design embroidered on the sleeve and the stage prop waves in the foreground. The costume made of chirimen silk, birodo velvet and kinran brocades. He stands in an exaggerated position with his left foot elevated on a tree stump and his left foot outstretched with his big toe slightly raised. He holds a bow and a fan. There are two swords at his hip. The head is carved of wood covered in gofun with painted features in the mie expression. He had  a top knot and inset hair. He stands on his own Takeda-style black lacquered stage box base with inset embroidered panel.
Minor signs of wear otherwise excellent condition.
Measuring overall 15 in. high x 8-1/2 in. deep x 12 in. wide.
The doll from toe to head measures 12 in. high.
