Japanese Musha Ningyo of Jimmu Tenno for the Boy’s Day display, by Maruhei, depicted standing with unusual heavy metal armor and helmet, demon face with glass eyes as a belt buckle, elaborate sword, jeweled necklace with mirror, holding a wood staff with a golden bird on top, well modeled tinted gofun face with inset glass eyes, silk fiber hair and carved beard, fur boots, mounted on a flat wood stand, original box reading: gogatsu ningyo Jimmu Tenno zo Morii shi Maruhei (fifth month doll of Jimmu Tenno owned by the Morii Family, made by Maruhei)
Excellent condition.

Japanese Boy’s Day miniature suit of armor display complete with black lacquered storage box with gold crest serving as the display stand. The suit crafted of paper, textile and metal fittings, complete with face mask and helmet having a very nice dragon prow.

Japanese suit of Armor for the Boy’s Day Display, finely formed lacquered paper armor with metal fittings, large kabuto (helmet), face plate with grimacing expression, traces of mustache, fine thickly woven and silk brocade thigh protectors, shin guards with silk calf wrappings, lacquered wood wood storage box which serves as the display stand.
Minor losses, overall fine condition.
29-1/2 inches high displayed. Box 12-3/4 inches high.

Japanese miniature model of a suit of armor made for the Boy’s day display. with lacquered paper cuirass, upper arm guards, protective skirt with silk lacing and metal fittings, large circular oak leaf (kashiwa) crest on the breast plate, fine metal kabuto (helmet) with spike deign, lacquered paper face guard, silk tassels, silk protective apron, lacquered wood storage/display box with gilt character on front.
Condition: Minor losses otherwise fine.
Measuring: Armor: 19”high, overall 34” high.
